1976 TROJAN F32 Boat

Last summer a young couple were sold this boat in the Port Stanley area and they brought it by water to the Pickering marina. The boat drove fine ... they had no mechanical issues getting to Pickering and no mechanical issues ofor the rest of the 2011 season. They bought the boat without having a survey done.
Last month (March) the boat was surveyed which showed the deck areas to have more moisture in them than "acceptable". The survey also revealed the boat needed a second blower installed in the bilge and an electrical outlet removed ... a breaker-fuse changed and some other inexpensive changes as well. The hull and transom were found to be in terrific condition ... a wiper motor needs to be replaced to work as well. Below is a photo taken by us of two adult men standing on the bow deck of the boat. The decks can still be walked on very safely ... you can jump up and down on the front deck ... but with the moisture content ... the boat doesn't have a "clean" survey.
The couple that bought it last summer from a family friend are shocked and upset. The survey also revealed that money was spent on mechanical components below the water line. In terms of how the boat "runs" ... it's a good boat .... now for sale needing some work which a new owner may or may not choose to do. This is a large boat ... mechanically sound ... needing a few issues addressed for the sake of "safety" ... but none are expensive.
How many 32 feet boats, of Trojan quality, with a 13ft beam and a generator can you buy for $6,000.00 today ... and resell for about the same or more in five - 10 yrs? Not many. But you can buy this 1 if you hurry..
